Waxing is an essential skill for any Beauty Therapist, it is the most requested & highest earning treatment at Salons / Spas. Clients return every four to six weeks for treatments. On the waxing course you will be taught using the Carlton Institute's own Warm Waxing system called Beauty Works. The wax is a natural product which permits fast, effective and almost painless removal of all superfluous hair. The waxing course covers all areas of face and body waxing, including leg waxing, bikini waxing, underarms, facial hair, eyebrow wax and you will also learn how to do Hot Waxing. Course Content: •Contra-indications •Warm wax •Hot wax •Methods of hair removal Pre-requisite for the course: All participants are required to work and be worked on and you will need to attend with a minimum of .5mm hair growth in all areas. Once you successfully complete the waxing course you will receive The Carlton Institute diploma. This will enable you to obtain public liability insurance. With the Diploma you will be able to work self employed from home or visit clients in their own home, hire a room in a beauty salon set up your own salon. The course cost between £210.60 and £234 (which includes VAT at 20%) the price varies depending on the date and location. A deposit of £49 can be paid to secure you place and the remainder paid 2 weeks before the course starts. The one day course times; 9.30am till 4.30pm Refreshments will be provided for you. There is the option to gain a nationally recognised NVQ qualification. You will receive a home study pack after the training day to complete. This will include theory exam and building a portfolio of evidence for assessment. The NVQ can be purchased at the same time as the course. NVQ cost: £129 on top of the course price.
